Puri-Konark Tourist Places
Dhauli Shanti Stupa
It is 8kms from Bhubaneswar and it is famous for the edicts of Ashoka which is engraved in the rock. The place is in the banks of river Daya and also has an ancient Shiva temple.
Pipili The Applique Work Village
Pipili is a town and a NAC under jurisdiction of Puri district in the Indian state of Odisha. It is famous for designing beautiful Applique handicrafts.
Museum at Konark
The artifacts and the historical finds that are retrieved as proudly displayed which is a treat to the eyes. The place also has beautiful carved sculptures of the gods and goddess in the various forms with stories to be narrated.
Konark Sun Temple
The beautiful world heritage site is in the shape of a gigantic chariot has been attracting tourist from decades. The temple is dedicated to Sun God and it is an ancient temple surviving in Odisha.
Gundicha Temple
The Gundicha temple at Jagannath Puri in the state of Odisha is also referred to as the Garden House of Lord Jagannath. It stands in the middle of a beautiful garden, with walls on all the sides. It is situated about 3 km from the main temple of Jagannath which is known as the Shrimandira. Both these temples are located at either end of the Bada Danda (Grand Road) which is the route of the famous Puri Ratha Yatra. The Gundicha temple is named after Gundicha, the queen of Indradyumna who built the temple.
Jagannath Temple
The Shree Jagannath Temple of Puri is an important Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a form of lord Maha Vishnu. The temple is an important pilgrimage destination The present temple was rebuilt from the 10th century onwards, on the site of an earlier temple, and begun by King Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva, first of the Eastern Ganga dynasty.
Raghurajpur heritage village
